FreeThink Technologies, Inc., a thought leader in the science and technology of product stability and shelf-life, is committed to making an impact on young minds. The Branford-based global pharmaceutical technology company recently hosted eight Branford High School students at their headquarters and laboratories on February 14th. The students saw demonstrations of ampoule sealing, tablet creation, and learned how to test the hardness of a tablet. Following the demonstrations, students participated in a science career discussion with a panel of FreeThink scientists. The visit concluded with a talk by FreeThink’s Founder and CEO, Kenneth Waterman, Ph.D. “Part of my responsibility as a scientist and entrepreneur is to share my personal story, and to help educate the next generation of scientists out there. There are so many options for young people today with a curiosity for learning. Hopefully, a visit like this can generate some excitement and encourage more young people to choose a career in science,” said Dr. Waterman.
