FreeThink Technologies, Inc. is pleased to welcome the following new hires to our team.
Maria Krisch, Ph.D., Senior Scientist
Maria received her B.A. degree with honors in chemistry from Swarthmore College, and completed a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the University of Chicago as an NSF Graduate Research Fellow. She conducted post-doctoral research into the structure of the liquid-vapor interface at the University of California at Irvine as a L’Oréal Post-Doctoral Fellow. Maria served as a physical chemist on the faculty of Trinity College for eight years. At Trinity, she led an externally funded research group focused on questions of interfacial reactivity. She has experience with a broad range of analytical methods, including multiple types of spectroscopy and mass spectrometry. Her subject matter expertise ranges from chemical dynamics to surface science. Maria has authored over 20 journal articles.
Rebecca Roper, Laboratory Scientist
Rebecca has more than five years of analytical chemistry experience. She graduated from Western New England University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Her industry experience to-date has primarily focused on chromatography platforms of biocide and preservative molecules. While at FreeThink, she continues to work toward a Master of Science degree in Chemistry at Sacred Heart University.
Leie Hamilton, Administrative Specialist
Leie brings more than ten years of administrative experience to FreeThink. Prior to joining the team, Leie worked as a Legal Service Representative in the banking industry. She primarily provides executive support to FreeThink’s CEO, Dr. Ken Waterman, and assists the marketing and business teams with client follow-up and process improvements.
Steven Bastien, Administrative Specialist/Logistics
Steve brings more than eight years of HR management, shipping and receiving experience to his new role at FreeThink. Steve primarily supports the Labs and Laboratory Scientists at our Branford location with supplies, equipment maintenance, shipping/receiving and process improvements. He also assists the HR team with payroll, candidate follow-up and on-boarding of new colleagues.
