FreeThink Technologies, Inc. is a rapidly growing company and the world leader in the science and technology of stability.   FreeThink provides laboratory studies for global clients in the pharmaceutical, animal health, nutraceutical and consumer product industries, and also licenses our proprietary ASAPprime® software.  Our scientists work on a wide variety of projects including mechanistic and scientific investigations; development of stability-indicating methods; rapid shelf-life determinations based on our ASAPprime® software; quality cGMP stability studies (ICH); and creative stability problem solving often involving formulation and packaging development.  As scientific leaders, our team works to continually develop new technologies to help our clients make better, more informed decision-making, earlier in the development process.

We are seeking a paid Chemistry Intern to work in our laboratories in Branford, Connecticut.  The intern will focus on an internal company research project exploring chemical or physical stability assessment.  The project will be chosen with the goal of publication in the peer-reviewed literature and will be able to be discussed externally.  The intern will be expected to work full time (40 hours/week) for the summer under the supervision of two company mentors.  At the end of the summer, the intern will give a short presentation on the results of the project.

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemistry, or related scientific field
  • Laboratory research experience outside of class

  • Housing is not provided, so the intern must be able to arrange housing independently

  • Compensation of $12/hour
  • Small, dynamic company environment that allows the intern to observe different aspects of a growing business
  • Work will focus on an internal research project that can be discussed at the intern’s home institution
