Mission Statement

Using world-class science to speed better products to market

FreeThink Technologies is a private corporation founded in 2011. FreeThink’s laboratories conduct experimental work to help companies solve even the most complex problems with a particular emphasis on issues related to stability (shelf life). FreeThink scientists are experts at developing stability-indicating methods, determining shelf-lives, developing formulations for complex needs, and determining packaging. FreeThink also develops and licenses its advanced accelerated stability software package ASAPprime®. In addition, FreeThink develops new drug delivery platform technologies.

FreeThink was founded by Dr. Kenneth Waterman and Mark Kastan. The original laboratories were part of the Connecticut Technology Incubator Program (TIP), first on the University of Connecticut Storrs campus, then at the Avery Point campus. FreeThink moved to its present laboratories in Branford, CT in 2016. The company now has 35 employees in Connecticut. In addition, FreeThink has representatives in a number of countries around the world.
