On June 24th Dr. Ken Waterman, President of FreeThink Technologies, presented at the BioPath STEM Summer Research Program. BioPath is a program housed at SCSU, but with an impact well beyond from K-12 to post-graduate. The program supports outreach events for the general public in New Haven, professional development and equipment for public school educators, grants for undergraduate faculty to obtain bioscience equipment to advance their teaching and student learning, a summer research program, an internship program that is in partnership with all of the New Haven undergraduate schools, and numerous community partnerships. BioPath aims to afford students and community residents more opportunities to learn about STEM and bioscience career and academic pathways.
