FreeThink is seeking a full-time Senior Formulation Engineer/Scientist to join its Engineering and Formulation Sciences group in Branford, CT.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working with clients to define and generate a target product profile (TPP), and preparing a project proposal for formulations to meet the TPP
- Being a key team member on customer formulation development projects (primarily pharmaceutical)
- Leading and actively participating in the development of new drug product development and drug delivery technologies
- Developing, implementing, and publishing results from FreeThink’s R&D programs
- Developing scientific staff, instrumentation, and laboratory operations to be world-class caliber
REQUIREMENTS
- Ph.D. in chemical engineering, material science, pharmaceutical science, chemistry, or a related scientific discipline with at least two years’ experience in the pharmaceutical or an aligned industry (ideally including solid oral dosage form development) or M.S. degree and at least five years’ relevant experience
- Evidence of excellent scientific writing and oral presentation skills
- Supervisory experience an advantage but not required
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis for any employer without the need for sponsorship
