Over the last 20 years, HuskyTHON has raised over $7.7 million for Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, making it the largest fundraiser for the hospital.  HuskyTHON raised $1,520,234.98 in the year 2020 alone!

The year-long fundraising event which traditionally culminates with an 18-hour dance marathon began in 1999 and has grown exponentially each year.  On the evening of the dance marathon children who have been, or are being, treated at Connecticut Children’s enjoy a fun-filled night with thousands of UCONN students.  Attendees participate in dancing, games, and inspiring story sharing of the challenges many of the children face.

This year FreeThink led a toy drive for all of the Miracle Children who would ordinarily attend the HuskyTHON dance marathon.  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s culminating event will be conducted as a hybrid event, live-streamed for all who want to participate virtually.  Miracle Children will receive a toy, along with an inspirational handwritten note from FreeThink employees.

We are very appreciative of the HuskyTHON leadership team and the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center advisors for helping to organize our toy drive!  For more information or to learn how you can get involved with HuskyTHON, please visit the HuskyTHON Website
