Thank you to our amazing summer interns from Fairfield University and Northeastern University! Our interns completed the following research projects:

Model testing for time-dependent relative humidity in nested packaging: package in a package

Objectives:

  • Measure the change in relative humidity over time in nested packaging
  • Compare experimental change in relative humidity over time to model prediction to determine if single layer packaging data can be used to predict the behavior of nested packaging

ASAP study on peroxides in excipients

Objectives:

  • The chemical stability of excipients with respect to peroxide growth
  • Quantify the growth of peroxides as degradants in excipients
  • Stress excipients in different temperatures, times, and %RH
  • Measure peroxide concentration in excipients using the UV-Vis spectrometer
  • Use ASAPprime® to model peroxide growth

We appreciate the dedication and hard work by our student interns, and we wish them the best as they embark on future endeavors!
