We are seeking a full-time Analytical Scientist 1  to work in our laboratories in Branford, Connecticut. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong educational foundation in chemistry or a related field who are seeking a career as a research and development scientist. Candidates will receive on-the-job training to develop technical expertise with opportunities for professional growth. Ideal candidates will have hands-on laboratory experience, including coursework or internships involving instrument operation and troubleshooting. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO 

  • After on-the-job training, safely and effectively perform analytical measurements including HPLC/UPLC, GC, KF and dissolution testing  
  • Ensure all work performed complies with company standard operating procedures and is well-documented 
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise through continuing professional education and training 

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related scientific field 
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or chemical laboratories or laboratory classes including instrument operation and troubleshooting 
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word and comfortable learning new software applications 
  • Authorization to work in the United States on a permanent basis for any employer without the need for sponsorship

COMPENSATION  

  • The base salary for this position is between $60,000 and $65,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
